Double Exposure: First Attempt

Today while scrolling through Pinterest I had the sudden thought of "I wonder how I do double exposures?" I always assumed it was some fancy camera trick. But it is actually just a setting in most advanced cameras. I was excited to see "Canon 70d" on the list of cameras that included the Multiple Exposure feature. So quickly I made Todd drive us to the gardens at BYU-I (because that is the only photogenic place I can think of in Rexburg) and began shooting for about two hours. Todd of course played Pokemon Go and caught up with a long lost friend. It was a perfect day!

Here is what I came up with since I didn't have any real people to model for me. Also shout out to Todd for being the best husband ever for learning how to take portrait photos for me in just one afternoon!

 

Kind of bummed about how this exposure turned out, but it is one of the only good pictures I have of myself so naturally I had to include it.

 

I used a near by fountain to create the watery effect for this one.

On July 14-16 my dad had a Diamond Retreat for all of his Diamond Leaders in Doterra, he asked me to be his photographer for the weekend and that I could bring Todd. So Todd and I got to stay at the Kandahar Lodge in Whitefish for free taking pictures of everyone and everything. It was very exhausting and we didn't have a lot of time to eat so by the time we get home we just wanted to hibernate.

You could see Glacier National Park from the top of the mountain.

Fourth of July, 2016

This is the second 4th of July that Todd and I have spent together, so that's pretty cool! We went to Tanya's house with all the cousins because Alan didn't want to do fireworks at his house for some reason. Anyway I finally figured out how to use my camera to take pictures of fireworks so I got really excited and took pictures of everything! I wanted to do a cute picture of Todd and I making a heart with sparklers but for some reason the only thing that showed up on camera was a little blob of light...So instead we made a heart out of glow sticks.

Throwback

I was looking through old photos of the good ol' days in Ireland. I came across this picture of the Blarney Mansion, next to the Blarney Castle, home of the Blarney Stone.
